Dreams Cruises is an Asia-based cruise line with a fleet of three ships – Genting Dream, based in Singapore, World Dream, based in Hong Kong and Explorer Dream, joining the fleet in April 2019, which will be based in Sydney. 

 Explorer Dream will start out with some incredible itineraries around Japan before being based in Sydney and Auckland from over summer and will sail from Sydney and Auckland. The Explorer Dream holds around 1,800 passengers and 1,000 staff.  With the mix of nationalities on-board being around 70% Australian & New Zealanders and 30% international passengers.

Some of the itineraries include 7-night Australia Discovery cruise from Sydney, up to Queensland and back to Sydney, also visiting Newcastle, New South Wales.  A 7-night Sydney to Auckland cruise via Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Dunedin and Gisborne.  Some of the other port in New Zealand that they visit on other itineraries include Akaroa, Wellington, Picton, Napier and the Bay of Islands.

 While on-board Explorer Dream everything will be charged back to your cabin in Australian Dollars.  Gratuities are compulsory and can be pre-paid.  Depending on your cabin category, you can expect to pay AUD $20 per person/per day or for Dream Palace cabins you can expect to pay AUD $25 per person/per day.

Dream Cruises has a loyalty programme called Dream Elite and you become a member upon enrolment (minimum age of 18 years).  You will start earning Dream Points every time you sail on either Genting Dream, World Dream or Explorer Dream.

 Explorer Dream will have one casino on-board along with large selection of restaurants, bars, spa facilities, speciality dining as well as Children and Teenager programmes.

Many of the guests on-board are likely to be multi-generational families, with an average age of around 40.

When you cruise on any of the Dream Cruise ships in a Suite (or above) you get exclusive access to ‘The Palace’.  Dream Cruises ‘Ship-within-a-ship’ boutique enclave which gives all ‘The Palace’ guests inclusive dining entitlements at The Palace and speciality restaurants, premium beverage package, 24-hour butler/concierge service, exclusive private outdoor pool deck, priority check-in and embarkation and Wi-Fi throughout the cruise, along with much more.
